Day 01Beijing

Destinations: Arrive in Beijing
Activities:
Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts - an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites and a bustling modern metropolis getting ready to host the 2008 Olympics. Upon your arrival in Beijing, our guide will meet you and transfer you to your Hotel. The guide will give you some tips on local restaurants that we recommend and you can do some shopping in streets nearby. The rest of the day is free to rest to recover from jetlag or to explore by yourself.
Day 02Beijing

Destinations: Beijing
Activities:
Your city tour starts at Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square where important occations took place such as Founding of P.R.China in 1949 and National Day Celebration. Then go straight ahead to Forbidden City, the largest royal palace in the world serving as administrative center and living quarters for emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1911. In the afternoon you'll visit Temple of Heaven, where emperors worshiped the God of Heaven and prayed for a good harvest annually. You can also learn how to play Tai Chi Chuan with local people.

Day 03Beijing

Destinations: Beijing
Activities:
Leave town in the morning for the drive (a bit under two hours) to the Badaling Section of The Great Wall , which stretches for over 6000 km, and was originally built to protect China from the barbarians. You can walk and climb at your own pace, or enjoy spectacular views from the cable car. In the afternoon, you get a chance to learn how to draw an Opera Facial Mask by yourself.

Day 04Beijing, Tianjin

Destinations: Beijing to Tianjin
Activities:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Beijing South Railway Station to take a High-spead train towards Tianjin.
Your first stop in Tianjin is Jing Yuan. It was built in 1921 and first named “Qian Yuan”. From 1929 to 1931, the last Empire Pu Yi lived here and changed the name to “Jing Yuan”, which means that peace could raise people’s magnanimity.
Then you will visit the Tianjin Italian Area. It is located in Hebei district of Tianjin. It used to be the only Italian Colony abroad and now is the only Italian building area in Asia.
After a traditional Chinese lunch at local restaurant, your tour guide will take you to Wudadao Sightseeing Street, colonial style buildings and garden villas are the main attractions. Built during the 1920s and 30s, the architectural influence of a number of different countries is on display as you explore some of these stunning residences and learn about their histories.

Day 05Tianjin, Beijing

Destinations: Tianjin to Beijing
Activities:
After breakfast in the hotel. First drive to the Yangliuqing Town of Xiqing District, you will visit the Shi Family Grand Courtyard, which is the former residence of wealthy merchant Shi Yuanshi – the 4th son of Shi Wancheng, one of the eight great masters in Tianjin.
After Chinese lunch, move on to visit Yangliuqing Museum, one of Tianjin's eight most famous households of the late Qing Dynasty, and the city's largest and best-preserved ancient residences. The museum has a rich collection of folk arts and exhibits, such as Yangliuqing New Year pictures and an account of their history, brick carvings, and folklore artifacts. you will also get a chance to paste a New Year paiting by yourself as a special memento.After visiting, you will be transferred to Tianjin Railway Station and take your train back to Beijing.

Day 06Beijing

Destinations: Depart from Beijing
Activities:
We will transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight. Our guide will help you handle the boarding card and then say farewell.
