72 hours visa-free transit visitors exceed 10,000 at Capital Airport

Since January 1st 2013, Beijing ports have carried out the visa-free transit policy to foreigners of 45 countries who possess a visa and ticket to a third country within 72hours.
According to reference datas, most of the visitors who enjoy the policy in the first half year are from Hongkong, China, which accounts for 13.71% of the total; the following countries are Korea, Russia, America, Australia ,etc. With passage of time, the”72 hours visa-free transit policy” is getting familiar with foreign visitors.
Meanwhile, in order to facilitate the 72 hours transiting foreign visitors , Frontier Inspection Organs have further optimized the border formalities ------- visitors can apply on-site instead of applying by the airline company.
Until 19th Oct 2013, the frontier inspection station of Beijing has issued applications of 72 hours visa-free for 10191 passengers, 5270 of which were issued in the first half of year.
