Day 01Lijiang

Destinations: Arrive in Lijiang

Activities:

Upon arrival at Lijiang Airport, you’ll be greeted & warmly welcomed by our professional English speaking tour guide. Transfer to the hotel which you booked before. Service starts from your arrival at the airport. International/Domestic flight/train arrangement is on your own. After a short rest in the hotel, you will set off for The Black Dragon Pool and Lijiang Ancient City . The park holds the Black Dragon Pool and got name because of it. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its beauty. Lijiang - an UNESCO World heritage sites is undoubted a highlight for any visit to Yunan. Ancient canals criss-crossed the old town filled with unique well-preserved house. You still find traditionally clad old Naxi Women selling their trade on the bricks alleys.

Activities:

Today you will visit The Fresco in Baisha Village after breakfast. Baisha village is about 16 kilometers north of Lijiang City. It is the important birthplace of "Tusi" (the Chinese word means chieftain of a clan) from Mu clan. Its characteristic artistic style and precious historic content of the mural deeply attracted visitors from home and abroad.Then you will set off for The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It's a snow capped mountain with an altitude of 5596 meters above sea level. The mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is 18000 feet above sea level. Its high mountain and meadow views setting off the snow and rivers, construct amazing picture.In the early evening, you will have a chance to enjoy Ancient Naxi Music. This is indeed the very classical Chinese music, transcending the time and space.

Activities: Free in the day until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination. Service ends at your departure from Lijiang airport. First and foremost, let me say “Thank-you” to all the personnel working for “China Travel Depot” especially the tour guides in city who made our trip that much enjoyable and hassle-free.

Everything went well without a hitch. A job well done!! We were treated like royalties—greeted at the airports, drove to wine and dine, then put up in luxury hotels.

Our guide was friendly and spoke English extremely well. Aside from being knowledgeable about the history and culture of China, she was also accommodating to our every need. No problems with the car. I liked the fact that there was a cool box with water that we could have during the tour.

As stated above we were very impressed with all people involved with China Travel Depot Tours. Thank you so very much! I've sent a couple of pictures along, but would prefer not to have our e-mail address published. Thank you!
